Sue and Pappy want you to know how much we NEED and LOVE our Foster Heroes!

Hello, my name is Sue and I occasionally foster dogs for the Humane Society of Livingston County when a need arises. Just knowing a little reprieve can make all the difference in the world in the lives of the shelter animals at HSLC is very gratifying. It melts your heart to watch them go from being very anxious to just being able to be a dog. If you have any inclination that you think you would like to foster, I would highly recommend it. Every little bit helps!

These two sweet, Chiweenies (Chihuahua and Dachshund mix) were SO GRATEFUL to get a much needed break from the shelter in a cozy, loving foster home!

These two lovable Chiweenies needed a nice long weekend away from all of the stresses kennel life can bring. So, home with me they came! They were a DELIGHT to foster and just downright FUN! You can see by the picture, they made themselves right at home relaxing like kitties on the back of our couch. The HSLC provided me with everything they needed for the long weekend. They had me up early every day and out for a walk by 9 am and out for two more walks each day. I don’t think my heart health could have gotten any better!
